Here at Simmo's Offroad Tours, every tour is uniquely tailored for you, depending on what is going on in the food and wine circles at the time and your personal interests.  I wouldn't say I am a wine expert, but I am certainly enjoying the path to enlightenment!  I know which wineries we should visit if you have fallen in love with Sauvignon, have a passion for pinot, or would like to taste a Zinfandel for the very first time.

I have a great relationship with the local wineries, orchardists, and local farmers, so I am able to co-ordinate an interesting and memorable Winery and Produce Tour for you - 7 days a week!

SIMMO'S FULL DAY SCENIC 4WD WINERY AND PRODUCE TOUR

Full day - approximately 7 hours (typically 10am to 5pm) 

Spend the day with me and let me show you the sights of Orange and Mount Canobolas as we visit a selection of commercial and smaller boutique wineries along quiet offroad tracks....

I collect you from your motel or B&B, and we start off the day with a brief tour of the City of Orange, highlighting a few of the heritage-listed buildings, local parks and other city attractions (there's a written test at the end of the day so listen carefully!!)  

We then make our way out of town, and take in the sights of Lake Canobolas surrounded by rolling hills, wineries and fruit orchards.  Sit back and watch the landscape change as we negotiate a bush track up to the pinnacle of Mount Canobolas at 1,395 metres above sea level...

After surveying a lookout or two, we follow another 4WD track back down the mountain and call into the first of our wineries for the day.         

Depending on the season, and what tickles your fancy, we can stroll around the Farmer's Market, or visit a truffle farm, an apple, cherry, or fig orchard, an olive plantation, or perhaps pop into a traditional apple cider brewery...

For the more adventurous, we can explore the limestone formations of Borenore Caves (torches supplied) or perhaps take a short bush walk and identify some of the local birds, native animals and flora.     

Somewhere along the trail we boil the billy for a freshly brewed bush coffee, and afternoon tea.

SIMMO'S 1/2 DAY SCENIC WINERY TOUR

Half day - approximately 4.5 hours (typically 1pm to 5.30pm)

Enjoy an afternoon with friends or that special someone, as I guide you to a few of the choicest wineries in the Orange cool climate wine region. 

Pick up from the airport, railway station, your motel or B&B, and returning late afternoon as the sun sets beyond Mount Canobolas.  


 
Cost :  $200 for a couple

            $250 for a group of four
