Departing Orange or Bathurst, Simmo's Offroad Tours provide "private charter" scenic four wheel drive Wine and Produce Tours, showcasing superb cool climate wines and fresh local produce of the Central West.  Perfect for couples, or a group of friends, each tour is uniquely tailored, depending on the season, your interests and tastes.  I wouldn't say I am a wine expert, but I am certainly enjoying the path to enlightenment!  I know which wineries we should visit if you have fallen in love with Sauvignon, have a passion for pinot, or would like to taste a Zinfandel for the very first time.

I have a great relationship with the local wineries, orchardists, and local farmers, so I am able to co-ordinate an interesting and memorable Winery and Produce Tour for you - 7 days a week!

SCENIC WINE AND PRODUCE TOUR OF THE ORANGE WINE REGION

Full day - approximately 7 hours (typically 10am to 5pm and includes a lavish BBQ lunch)

Spend the day with me and let me show you the sights of Orange and Mount Canobolas as we visit a selection of commercial and smaller boutique wineries along quiet offroad tracks....

I collect you from your motel or B&B, and we start off the day with a brief tour of the City of Orange, highlighting a few of the heritage-listed buildings, local parks and other city attractions (there's a written test at the end of the day so listen carefully!!)  

We then make our way out of town, and take in the sights of Lake Canobolas surrounded by rolling hills, wineries and fruit orchards.  Sit back and watch the landscape change as we negotiate a bush track up to the pinnacle of Mount Canobolas at 1,395 metres above sea level...

After surveying a lookout or two, we follow another 4WD track back down the mountain and call into the first of our wineries for the day.         

Depending on the season, and what tickles your fancy, we can stroll around the Farmer's Market, or visit a truffle farm, an apple, cherry, or fig orchard, an olive plantation, a micro-brewery or traditional apple cider brewery...

For the more adventurous, we can explore the limestone formations of Borenore Caves (torches supplied) or perhaps take a short bush walk and identify some of the local birds, flora and fauna native to the area.       

Somewhere along the trail we boil the billy for a lavish BBQ lunch, freshly brewed coffee, or billy tea.

Full day - approximately 7 hours (typically 10am to 5pm and includes a lavish BBQ lunch) 

Departing Bathurst, Simmo's Offroad Tours offer Scenic 4WD Tours of the Bathurst Region, showcasing the natural beauty of the area, the finest cool climate wines, and the freshest local produce we can pick ourselves. 

I collect you from your motel or B&B in the morning, and we start off the day with a brief tour of the city, showcasing heritage listed buildings, gorgeous local parks and the rich history of the Bathurst region.        

We soon head out of town, taking a mandatory lap of Mount Panorama, and find a good lookout or two across the Bathurst region.

I know some great tracks to explore, and we'll find some top quality wines and locally produced beers and spirits along the way.  Depending on the season we can visit an orchard, pick your own fruits and berries, or visit the farmer's market.       

Somewhere along the trail we boil the billy for a lavish BBQ lunch, freshly brewed coffee, or billy tea.

SIMMO'S 1/2 DAY SCENIC WINERY TOUR

Half day - approximately 5 hours (typically 1pm to 6.00pm)

Enjoy an afternoon with friends or that special someone, as I guide you to a few of the choicest wineries in the Orange & Bathurst Wine regions.   

Pick up from the airport, railway station, your motel or B&B, and returning in the late afternoon as the sun sets behind the Mountains. 

 
Cost :  $100 per person
