Four wheel driving and camping out in the Australian bush can be a safe and totally rejuvinating experience if you are with an experienced, personable guide who knows the local area and has your safety and comfort foremost in his mind. As a licensed tour operator with the NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service I can provide access to some truly beautiful locations, with a minimal impact on the environment. As an active member of the NSW & ACT 4WD Association I also follow the "Tread Lightly" principles of Four Wheel Driving and camping. After all, I want to take my grandchildren to these same magical places many years from now.

A NIGHT UNDER THE STARS AT HILL END
(2 days, 1 night)
Join me as I take my trusty Toyota 4WD along the famous Bridle Track, across the Macquarie River to one of my favourite little camping spots near Hill End.
No neighbours, no noise, no hassles - just the way life was supposed to be.
Sit back in front of a roaring fire with a glass of wine, as I set up camp and prepare your traditional baked dinner in my camp oven.
Arise from your swag in the morning to freshly brewed coffee, bacon and eggs.
We can fish in the Turon River, or try our luck panning for gold, or simply explore the bush to see what birdlife and native animals are poking about. We can make tracks back into Hill End for a couple of hours and explore the old gold diggings, museum, cemetery and other historic sights (a cold beer at the Royal Hotel goes down pretty well too!).

BACK OF BOURKE
(4 days, 3 nights)
If you are up for an adventure I know a great little camp site on the banks of the Darling River sandwiched between Bourke and Louth in Western New South Wales.
We can spend our days exploring the bush, fishing, or spotting emus, kangaroos, or photographing the birdlife, or, we can jump in the 4WD and duck into Louth pub for a cold beer and a counter meal...
Nights are spent around the campfire under the clearest skies. Lay back with a glass of wine and try counting the stars as I prepare the evening meal.
We can trade a few yarns, or sing along to Slim Dusty for a bit, or we can get out the spotty and see what animals are poking about.
You'll love it.
