G'Day, I'm Simmo. Welcome to my world of Four Wheel Drive Touring and Australian Campcraft. I also happen to have a healthy interest in quality wines - which is kind of handy cause I live in Orange, NSW - a renowned cool climate wine region of Australia.
I am a fully licensed and accredited 4WD Tour Operator with the New South Wales Ministry of Transport, with many years experience through my training as a certified Police Four Wheel Driver and my active involvement in several 4WD and Bushwalking Clubs across NSW.
I am also fully licensed through the National Parks and Wildlife Service of NSW, with my sound scientific and botanical qualifications combined with my natural passion for people and the natural world.
As the sole operator and driver of Simmo's Offroad Tours, my one aim is to show you some of the country I know - and get you back home safely again. My "little hobby" has continued to grow, year after year, because my guests have a great day out with me and tell their friends! In 2011, Simmo's Offroad Tours was a Finalist in the Daroo Cabonne Business Awards in both "Best New Business" and "Tourism" categories - and in 2012 I am striving to repeat, or even better this performance with even more tours and activities on offer!
My Toyota Landcruiser Prado comfortably takes 1 to 4 guests, with plenty of room for the Waeco fridge, swags and other "bush necessities". Whether you join me on a pleasant Winery Tour around Orange or Bathurst, a Tag-a-Long Tour to historic Hill End, or a fully-catered overnight Camping Adventure under the stars on the Macquarie River somewhere - I strive to provide you a comfortable, enjoyable experience in the Australian bush.
